Venturers Trust is a new Multi Academy Trust based in Bristol formed through the merger of CGS Trust and Merchants’ Academy Trust in September 2017. Comprising Primary, Secondary, all-age schools and a Special school the Trust has 3,200 pupils and 700 staff.
The Trust is sponsored by the Society of Merchant Venturers and the University of Bristol. Both sponsors seek to ensure that all our young people receive a truly inspiring education. Their support, challenge and expertise are greatly valued.

We are seeking a dedicated individual who will support the class teacher. In return you will join a wonderful team and have every opportunity to further your professional development and career.
The successful candidate will have:
• A desire to take an active part in ensuring all students achieve more than they ever thought possible.
• A good understanding and working knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
• A GCSE grade of C or higher in English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications)
• A relevant level 2 qualification.
• Be able to build strong relationships with students and establish positive behaviour for learning.
You may also have learning support qualifications or a PGCE. At Barton Hill Academy we value professional development opportunities. For example, some of our LSAs have a PGCE qualification and have worked with us as part of their preparation for teaching or have held degrees and progressed on into teaching as the experience of LSA work is valued for recruitment to teacher training.
