Welcome from the Headteacher

Capture

Welcome to Barton Hill Academy. We are a wonderfully diverse and inclusive East Central Bristol school with a 120-place nursery. Our amazing grounds give our children the opportunity to experience nature and allow their imaginations to flourish. Our enriching curriculum allows our children to travel beyond their imaginations and experience all that learning has to offer – inspiring them to challenge themselves everyday to develop pride in achievement.

I am proud to lead such a passionate team, who are committed to achieving high standards and giving our children the best opportunities, we can. We believe that all our children are unique and have individual talents that make them special. We believe that everyone can reach their full potential through the safe, caring and learning-focused environment that we provide.

We ensure that our children understand their rights through the ‘Rights Respecting’ award from UNICEF. We are committed to inspiring our community though the power of this programme, so they are able to grow into caring members of our local, national and global society.

We sit at the heart of the Barton Hill, and we value all contributions from members of our community – working closely with groups and agencies in the local area. We are incredibly proud of our children and families and the amazing contributions they make to ensuring Barton Hill Academy continues to be a place of hope and optimism. Together we are nurturing and inspiring the community through the power of education.
